Induced Draft Fan basically does the job of pulling out the flue gas from its source and then passes it through the air pollution control device on to the stack. In an induced draft system, the fan is at the exit end of the path of flow, and the system is under negative pressure - that is, the pressure in the flow area is below atmospheric, because the air is being drawn through the fan.
Forced draft: When air or flue gases are maintained above atmospheric pressure. Normally it is done with the help of a forced draft fan. Forced Draft Fans are normally used to cool down the high temperature gases or to provide High pressure air to a system for example Boilers.
